We understand that the life of a teacher is a stressful one. Often filled with standing or sitting for long periods of time, causing pain throughout the body. Everyday travelling can take its toll, non-stop writing, etc. We are here to be a support system for you. We want to help you and make sure that these physical issues that may build during work (or at your own home) don’t affect you for months on end. Teachers already deal with enough problems in todays world. Let us make your life easier.
Student Athletes is one of our most treated types of patient. Here at Farmingdale PT West, we specialize in the rehabilitation of athletes. We have treated baseball/softball players, wrestlers, football players, basketball players, soccer players, and hockey players. One of our PT’s even worked for the Duke athletic program while she was finishing her degree in college. We have immense knowledge in this field and would love to be able to share it with any young athlete we can. Trust us, the stretches and workouts we will introduce to you could benefit you for life.
Geriatrics is our most treated type of patients. We understand the wear & tear that has continued to deteriorate your body as you get older and we’re here to help. We want to make sure that the pain you’re enduring doesn’t affect you or the things you like to do daily. Once you can’t do the things you enjoy doing anymore, and your life is no longer what you consider “normal,” that’s when we like to step in. We want to make sure you’re able to hold your grandkids, cook/clean with no pain, or go on a daily walk. Our PT’s are gentle, filled with knowledge, and most of the time, can make you feel young again.
Workers Comp. Patients
We’re always accepting workers compensation patients. It’s terrible when someone has an accident on the job, and we want to be the ones to fix you up and get you back to work ASAP. We have had over 100 workers compensation scenarios, all with positive outcomes.
First things first, we love and appreciate everything you do! As fellow “Doctors,” we want to give you the best possible care we can. We understand the stressful life of any healthcare worker. PT would not only be good for your body, but it could be good for your mind as well. The daily exercises and routines we will try and implement into your life could be a game-changer. You shouldn’t be the one’s suffering in silence when you have to care for others on the daily.
We will start by saying, thank you for your service. We may not understand what you went through, or what you’re still going through, yet… we can be the ones to bring you peace of mind when it comes to your body. Any questions you may have, or issues you may have, will be personally tended to by our PT’s. They will not only be your physical therapist, they will be your friend too.
Volunteers (Such as firefighters)
Thank you for working hard to keep the community safe! Here at FPT, we know that volunteer work can be a lot on your body. This could lead to anything- back pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, sciatica, etc. We can help. Don’t wait, don’t let the pain worsen, don’t think that you can beat it by yourself, come and let us help. That’s what we signed up for.
You’re on your feet on the daily, answering people’s questions, looking out for everyone. Yet, who is looking out for you? The answer is FPTW, we want to be those people. For once, you’ll step into an office and not have to worry about anyone other than yourself! Doesn’t that sound nice?
If you have any questions or would like to know if we treat your specific condition. Please call us at 516-731-3583. If you don’t see the type of person you are on here, odds are that we still treat you! (We treat anyone to be honest).
